Rihanna Diamonds World Tour Homecoming Concert Banned by Barbados Government

Mega star, Rihanna, should have ended in her world tour home country of Barbados.

Many local Barbadians were eagerly awaiting their home-grown singing pop sensation’s performance at the world renowned Kensington Oval cricket ground.

According to many sources, Barbados Customs have seized 15 shipping containers from Rihanna’s Diamond Wold Tour despite world wide success and a sell out tour.

It is surprising that the authorities in Barbados would allow this to happen given Rihanna’s global success and ongoing career as a leading female artist.

Here’s hoping that the stubborn individuals involved in disappointing the fans from enjoying the homecoming of a global mega star will have a change of heart and allow this important event to proceed.

Any Rihanna fans out there? What do you think?

Stubborn individual? Important event???? don’t make me laugh this chick is a bad example to all young kids out there so this important event is not even close to being necessary I read somewhere her net worth is 90 mil which she posted on twitter while engaged in a twitter war wit another chick, so its not like she needs bajans cash………

Everyone likes to perform in their country so u need to sit down and hush. Its not about the money FOOL!!! Plus the above story is misleading.

You are just jealous because Rihanna has millions of dollars and she can do whatever she wants and YOU CAN’T! Shut up!

    • Zayzah DurranOct 26, 2013 at 2:19 pmReply

@neil…how is rihanna a bad example to young kids???and what does her net worth have to do with you…its people like you that make Barbados more complicated then it already it,all this damn hate and negativity thats, why we as black people will always be where we are,at the bottom, when everyone else and all or most of the other races are becoming greater because they come together and help each other, when instead of pulling each other down. You sir mr.Neil are an incompetent, arrogant individual well more of an a**hole but hey thats just the type of person you are.

Although no details are given about the detention by Customs, you are absolutely correct!!

    • KadeemOct 28, 2013 at 3:39 pmReply

Ahhhhhhhhhhh and her being a bad example is bad how? Shouldn’t parents censor what their kids listen to?

      • FlowOct 29, 2013 at 12:06 pmReply

That is way harder than it sounds in your head. Half of what children see hear and do at school they don’t risk at home.

    • FlowOct 29, 2013 at 12:04 pmReply

I personally think that ppl look the wrong places for examples for their kids. They expect everyone else to do their job. The school – to keep them on a day because they(the parents) dont want them home, the church – because society has led us to believe that to be a christian you have to go there. When its often the parents that the children are watching and imitating. its way easier to learn a bad habit than it is to learn a good habit. Rihanna is a entertainer/performer thats what she does you know what she stands for if you dont like it keep your kid home. this is 2013 time are changing accept that because at the end of the day all you can do is try to teach your child right from wrong and make the best possible decisions for them while you can because your not always doing to be there and life goes on.

anyone that believes this trash has to be a real PUSSY ,the government did not banned the show .People need to research before they proceed to write article

  5. JarvieOct 26, 2013 at 12:16 pmReply

Oh no!! Please don’t cancel this “Important event”. Bajans will be lost without this performance. She needs that extra 10 mil to make back up for the house so please customs release those containers. ohhhh noooo

  6. DannyOct 26, 2013 at 1:08 pmReply

well from as far as i know it wasn’t banned, it was just POSTPONED!!!! I don’t care too much about Ri Ri, but being a Barbadian who has traveled all around the world and seen how she is a representation of Barbados (not in character but because she comes from there), I would rather you not spread useless rumours, when the show was just postponed. You should delete this post…instead of mislead others.

  7. ShaOct 26, 2013 at 2:55 pmReply

If she’s a bad influence to kids don’t send your kids to the concert. If parents knows Rihanna’s rep who really is the bad one Rihanna or the parents that would send their kids to the concert. Stop blaming Rihanna. She’s is old enough to do whatever she wants. It’s up to ppl to follow her or not. You always have choices.

  8. crocadileOct 26, 2013 at 3:34 pmReply

This Yound lady needs to grow up and act more like her age. Be more responsible. I am pretty sure her grandmother must be rolling in her grave right being being very disappointed of her. She is out of hand, out of place, disrespectful, has no pride.

  9. Sonia StouteOct 26, 2013 at 5:06 pmReply

I am sorry that Ri Ri did not come.. I will hold onto my ticket till she gets here… Rihanna do yah thing girl…

  10. queenonlyOct 26, 2013 at 6:54 pmReply

the article is full of inconsistencies…however i do not give a rat’s ass if she comes or not

  11. AnnoyedOct 26, 2013 at 11:09 pmReply

People can be such fools…. what is their problem with Rihanna, she is a performer and an artist this is the career path she has chosen, let the woman do her job and stop being haters. There are many other artist that have women in provocative attire and dancing loose and you don’t hear the Barbadians bashing their name, no, you just see the Barbadian women dressing and dancing like same said women and it is just fine no one has a problem with that. It is very simple, sexuality sells in any country and to anyone and if people did not want it there would be no market for it therefore no reason to produce it….. Remember when Madonna first started out?

Rihanna is a Barbados tourism Ambassador, why would they cancel her tour?

  13. ReefzOct 27, 2013 at 8:13 amReply

One indisputable ‘fact’….. she sure is prettyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. NonsenseOct 27, 2013 at 6:33 pmReply

Seriously, to all those saying that her haters are jealous… jealous of what? She makes money and does what she wants but she still has to answer on judgement day just like everyone else. Whole heap of people that don’t have 2 cents to rub together scrambling to get tickets to keep Rihanna rich! Rihanna is being idolised left right and centre in Barbados. I wonder when she’ll have a free concert for her die hard Bajan followers – maybe never.

  16. lashauntaOct 27, 2013 at 7:04 pmReply

Who cares if her tour to her country is cancelled. She can’t even sing live and she’s very ugly without the makeup and extravagant clothes. She will be no where if it wasnt for Jay Z so again who cares??? I’m sure all the people defending her are from barbados. Bajan people are the most disgusting stuck up people and their little country is overrated and ridiculously expensive. And for all those who will comment on my message, I don’t care what you think. You bajans are nasty and should stop coming into our country. USA will be a better place without you.

  17. lashauntaOct 27, 2013 at 7:15 pmReply

Who cares if her tour to her country is cancelled? She is a poor role model and can’t even sing live. She’s also ugly without all the glitz and glamor. If it was not for Jay Z she will not be anywhere. I’m sure everyone here bashing the other guy is from Barbados. Bajans are the most inhospitable people. They live always trying to be above others and are the nastiest people I have ever met. Barbados is overrated and extremely expensive and will be nothing if it was not for tourism. Bajans need to stop coming to the states and try and develop their country and change their attitude.

  18. rDhOct 27, 2013 at 11:30 pmReply

Parents need to be the role models for kids. All this talk about super stars being role models is outdated. The government of BIM spent millions using rihanna as an ambassador for tourism. Now shes going to do a conct there they railroad the entire show. Fans were coming from across the islands for this show. Money on on air fair cannot be refunded …. people loss more than just the cost of tickets. I guess its just 3 rd world governance again.

  19. Romero LashleyOct 28, 2013 at 2:48 amReply

I’d just like to say that people don’t become “fools” and “idiots” just because they don’t share our view. So lets comment on people’s ideas without calling each other names, ok sweeties! WE DO IT BETTER IN BIM !!

First the Government was place to rule and second there have to be good reason for such actions. # 3. I love Rihanna but this does not give her or any one else the right to do what ever they want to because they have the money. The right channels must be obeyed. Trust the Government to make the right decision for the country for we are a supportive people.

  23. respectfullbajanOct 30, 2013 at 9:32 pmReply

im am tired of everybody talking bout black people like pulling down one another especially in Rhianna case. how about we Island people pulling down each other . she had a stay over in Dominica Republic and know how big the roaches are down there somebody need to let her know big one in Barbados too
